Rodolfo Biagi
Rodolfo Biagi (1906–1969) was an Argentine pianist, composer, and orchestra leader known for his unmistakable, rhythmic piano style that brought a vibrant, percussive energy to tango. After playing with Juan D’Arienzo, he formed his own orchestra in 1938, emphasizing sharp staccato phrasing and a dynamic, danceable beat. With singers like Alberto Lago and Jorge Ortiz, he recorded classics such as Humillación and Gólgota, leaving a lasting impact on tango’s evolution.
