Miguel Caló

Miguel Caló (1907–1972) was an Argentine bandleader, composer, and bandoneón player known for his refined, melodic tango style. His orchestra, active during the 1940s, was a key part of tango’s golden age, balancing elegance with rhythmic fluidity. Featuring iconic singers like Raúl Berón and Alberto Podestá, he recorded timeless classics such as Al compás del corazón and Que falta que me hacés. Caló’s sophisticated arrangements made his music both emotionally rich and perfect for dancing.
